Personal Development
At our school, our curriculum forms the core of what we do. We also go beyond the curriculum by providing additional experiences that develop children in a wider sense. This extended curriculum can be thought of as learning which is planned to make use of the unique opportunities provided by our school to support and extend knowledge and skills acquired our children in their lessons.
The purpose of these activities are to develop children’s interests, their character (including developing resilience, confidence an independence) and prepare them for life in modern society.

The extended curriculum gives children opportunities to apply the knowledge skills they have learned through the day in formal lessons, in different environments. This not only gives them a chance to improve their knowledge and skills but it also boosts their confidence.

This section of our website tells you about some of the additional opportunities that you child can access beyond the core curriculum offer.
